On average, it takes two to four weeks to develop a logo

Let's go back to the numerical expression of the work. If for one logo the author needs from two to! Four! Weeks, then logically to create a website from four to eight? How much do you need to charge for a logo in order to quietly develop a trademark for at least 2 weeks, and at the same time eat something? If a designer wants to receive at least 1,000 euros per month, then a logo will have to ask for at least 500 euros. After all, it will take half a month to develop it. And even the whole month. In this case, of course, you can ask for 1000 euros. Why hurt yourself? Developed for a month, so you pay me like a month. But where to find such fools? Indeed, for 1000 euros, a logo can be ordered from a renowned studio, and not from the overlord of freelancing.

Thank God in the same article the author gives an example of his work. And what do we see? Two blotters of incomprehensible karakul, which can be thrown in 15 minutes. At the same time, not a single intelligible drawing of the font. The fonts are drawn as if by a child who cannot hold a pencil in his hand. On the agenda, most of the logo turned out to be tied to creating a font from scratch. What is the point of wasting time on a fairly typical and less expressive typeface is unclear. Creating a logo(Professional Logo Designers) does not in any way involve creating a font from scratch. Conversely, it can even play a bad joke with the designer. For example, a customer asks to change the font and all the work in the trash can. It is reasonable to create a font from scratch if 1) if it does not take much time within the framework of a specific idea 2) if the creation of a font is agreed with the customer.

Based on the results of the work done, we get a mediocre mark, which the freelancer has been developing for a month. But if you look closely, then he developed it for two days at most. And for three more days I worked out all my presentations, demonstrations, which practically have nothing to do with the logo itself. In general, aiming fog from scratch. Allegedly "chose the desired shades by pantones" It is said as if this process takes at least a day. In real life, it takes a minute.

Naturally, you need to call the timing with a margin. Naturally it is worth taking two weeks. But this in no way means that for two weeks in a row, for 8 hours a day, the designer will draw a cross in a square. The reasons why this is natural and simple are elementary. For a cross in a square, after a month, you will have to put up 1000 euros. Or take your own 150, maximum 300 euros, taking into account the presentation with the makings of corporate identity elements and live on pasta with ketchup.
