The Wix web builder has launched a very practical application: It is Wix Bookings.

This is very useful to offer sessions (eg classes, workshops, etc.) both individual and group on your website.

Do you want some examples?

You can offer yoga classes, consulting services, photo sessions, sound studio reservations or guitar lessons ... the list is endless.

How does it work

Install the Wix Booking app on any of the pages of your website and add the classes, events or workshops that you want to offer. Synchronize it with your (Google) calendar so that your page visitors can book your services online.

Not only can they make reservations directly from the web, they can also pay, and you can even ask to leave a deposit. But of course you can also offer free classes or allow your clients to pay you in person, you decide. You can even create monthly subscriptions.

Wix Bookings allows you to offer group sessions (for example, yoga classes) in a similar way to how it is done on Meetup or Eventbrite. But it has an interesting advantage, you will not need to redirect users to an external payment platform: everything is managed from your Wix page or from the Wix mobile app (iOS and Android).

Pros and Cons of Wix Bookings

In my opinion, Wix Bookings is one of the best apps developed by Wix. But it's not a perfect system either, so let me explain more about its pros and cons.

Pros Cons

· Easy to use, as it is fully · The types of fields in the forms are

integrated with your Wix page. limited (eg there are no checkboxes or

dropdowns).

· Wix does not charge a booking fee. · It does not allow the use of multiple

languages.

· You cannot create two reservations · The Wix Bookings app can only be

at the same time, as it is synchronized added to one of the pages.

with Google Calendar.

· You can send automatic reminders by · You do not have the possibility of

email and customize your adding a "happy hour" with reduced

reservation policy. rates for hours with less demand.

· Manage your reservations from anywhere · There are no waiting lists for classes.

with the apps for iOS and Android.

· Combine Wix Bookings with other Wix · You cannot add extras to services.

features like your invoice generator,

email marketing automation, CRM or blog.

· Reservations for individual and group · Sessions have a fixed duration. For

sessions. example, it does not let you decide

between 45 min or 30 min treatments.

If you want to offer both, you will

have to duplicate your services.

How much does Wix Bookings cost?

Wix offers a free version of this app on all its plans, even for free web pages. However, some of the more advanced features are left for the paid plan.

To summarize, if you want users to be able to book online, easily organize group sessions, have Wix Bookings send reminders, or be able to process payments online, the only option is to contract the payment plan.

But yeah, I know, I haven't told you yet how much the premium version of the Wix Bookings app will cost you.

The price of Wix Bookings is included in the Wix Business plans . You will have to hire one of the following:

Business VIP Unlimited Business Basic Business

With Wix Booking With Wix Bookings With Wix Bookings

Monthly price $ 56 / month $ 33 / month $ 28 / month

Annual plans $ 49 / month $ 27 / month $ 23 / month

2 year plans $ 42 / month $ 23.50 / month $ 20 / month

Keep in mind that Wix Business plans have other benefits in addition to the Wix Bookings app. For example: additional storage space, unlimited bandwidth, and other premium applications, such as Site Booster.

For that reason, if you compare the normal Wix payment plans with the Business ones, you will see that they cost about US $ 10 more per month .

Who is Wix Bookings for?

Wix Bookings is for those who want to:

· Integrate an easy-to-use booking system on your Wix page.

· Synchronize the calendar with the Google one.

· Process payments online or in person.

· Offer individual or group sessions.

· Have multiple accounts from which your staff can manage reservations.

· Sell subscriptions online.

But of course it is not for everyone:

· It does not support multiple languages.

· It may not be advanced enough for some people (eg just inflexible timing and durations).

· It can only be synchronized with Google Calendar (you can connect it with Outlook or iCal, but you will always need to go through Google first).
